I guess I just looooove to shock people. I mean, not really, of course. Not on purpose. But sometimes you've just got to do whatever makes you happy, you know? So if you want to try something new, why not? Because someone will give you a weird look?
Who cares?
Okay, too many questions.
Contrary to popular belief, there's really no point in waiting for a certain setting (e.g. New Year's) to change. If you want to change something about yourself, just do it. Who cares if everyone is surprised? (How dare you suddenly show up with a new look on a random Tuesday!) You can't just sit around waiting for a certain day to introduce a new you.

What's Society's Problem?
![]() |

This seems to be quite uncommon, though. Let's face it; society's good moods are not the norm (for most of us) and can be pretty fickle. Maybe you've noticed that society is more often a huge bully-- it's discriminating, mean, excluding, hurtful, and bossy. Or, maybe you're one of those people looking at your computer screen wondering what in the world I'm talking about. In that case, society likes you (though more than likely you're it's frenemy) and you mostly fit in. Good for you.

Taking Everything For Granted

I just hate listening to other people complain about the smallest, unimportant things. I can't stand when someone takes everything, and I mean everything, for granted. Especially when they have so much to appreciate.

What's So Bad About Being Different?
NOTHING, in my opinion. Unfortunately, there is apparently something wrong with being different in some people's opinions. We've all heard that if everyone was the same the world would be boring. It's so true, but there are still so many people trying to be just like everyone else, or places where people are forced to conform. Some people try to change themselves to fit the norm because they want to be accepted. Even following trends, which many people wouldn't think twice about, is sort of like trying to be like everyone else.

If you're bored...
Today I don't exactly have the time to write a full article, but nevertheless I'd like to share some of the interesting discoveries I've made recently. Oh, and go back and read the labels and stereotypes article-- I did some serious editing since it just hadn't ended up the way I'd imagined. I think it's much better now, and that's part of the reason I didn't have time to write a full article. Rest assured though, tomorrow there will be a new and interesting article. Also I'd like to point out that I really do try to post everyday, which is why I'm at least going to post this. I think you'll find it quite interesting anyway.

Labels and Stereotypes
Everyone has been labeled before, and then associated with a stereotype. Of course, most stereotypes are far from correct, and they're too often negative. So, why do we label people, and why do we expect people to match certain stereotypes? And if almost everyone supposedly hates these labels and stereotypes, why do they still exist?
Well, people label and stereotype to categorize and organize people just as they do for everything else. Labeling simply makes things easier for people to understand. People also use labels to "fit in" or figure out where they belong. On the other hand, labels are often unwanted, and stereotypes not only incorrect but hurtful as well.
